These sweets are called ‘dagashi’ which literally means ‘economic sweets’. It is impressive that in a neighborhood as modern as Akihabara where you can find the newest anime, you can also find a classic shop that invites the visitor to take a trip to the origin of Akihabara’s culture of the present.
