Tour Package Description
The tour will start on Okunoshima Island, also known as a rabbit island because it is home to about 1,000 semi-tame rabbits. It is said that 8 rabbits who were kept by the local elementary school were released and have since become feral. It is a paradise if you love small animals. You will then move on to Onomichi, a nostalgic, hilly town with many traditional temples and houses. It makes for such a nice backdrop, that a few movies have been filmed there.
The next morning you will enjoy a one-hour cruise from Onomichi to Tomonoura. Tomonoura retains its old atmosphere with traditional houses. If you are an anime fan, you will love the fact that the Ghibli movie Ponyo was made after director Miyazaki was inspired by the good old atmosphere of this town.
