Join us on our Beautiful Ogasawara Islands tour in the summer of 2023!
Also known as Bonin Islands, the tropical Ogasawara Islands are surrounded by a rich deep ocean teeming with diverse sea life. This island group isn’t well-connected with the continent, which is why they still boast untouched great nature. Because it isn’t easy to get there, you won’t see many tourists here and you can enjoy the unique experience of an unspoiled natural habitat of rare flora and fauna.
Japan Ogasawara Tour Description
1. We land on scenic Minamijima Island. You will find semi-fossils of a unique land snail, the Mandarina luhuana, on karst land. We will enjoy the beautiful white sand Ogiike Beach and Yin-Yang Pond. Summer is the breeding season for shearwaters and boobies.
2. Day trip to Hahajima Island. We take you to a banyan tree forest and Minamizaki, the southernmost point of the island. The wall-like steep coastline from Mount Chibusa has a stunning view. You may see a Bonin honeyeater if you are lucky.
3. Enjoy the Bonin blue ocean. This is one of the world’s clearest oceans and has an incredibly rich ecological system. You may have a chance to swim with dolphins and sea turtles.
4. We are going on a nature walk on Chichijima Island. Ogasawara is often called Eastern Galapagos because of the unique development of its ecological system.
5. Night tour in Chichijima. After the sunset, nocturnal species appear such as Ogasawara fruit bats in the forest and hermit crabs on the beach. Green sea turtles come to lay eggs between June and August at night. We will also spot some fantastic glow-in-the-dark mushrooms called green-pepe.
* Before you get on the bus, everyone has to sanitize their hands with sanitizer that will be provided by us.
* There will be a maximum of 6 people in one bus, so there is enough space between participants.
* We will provide everyone with one special health drink per day to keep everyone’s immune system up.
* We will provide everyone with one fresh bottle of mineral water per day.

EXTENDED PLAN

Transport: Travel by air-conditioned private van, baggage handling free
Arrival/Departure: We start and finish the tour at Takeshiba Port. If you need a hotel and transfer from/to the airport and port, we can arrange these upon request.
Meal Requests: Vegetarian, halal or special meals can be arranged
Please bring the following: rain gear, hiking shoes, swimsuit, flip-flops, insect repellent

45-31 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 10% of the tour fee
30-15 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 20% of the tour fee
14- 8 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 30% of the tour fee
7 – 3 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 50% of the tour fee
<3 days prior to arrival date in Japan: 100% of the tour fee
