Lately, and especially since the Summer Olympics have been held in Tokyo in 2021, accessibility has been improving in Japan. But still, large cities like Tokyo can be tough to deal with if you are not familiar with the environment. While on our usual group tours there might be accessibility issues for some of the destinations, our 2023 Japan Accessible Tour Package for Wheelchair Users has been specially designed with accessibility in mind. There will be plenty of time to visit each spot on the itinerary. This tour is limited to 20 participants and is for wheelchair users and their companions.

As one of our special services, we offer butler service by phone or WhatsApp for all tour participants during their entire stay in Japan.
Special Precautions for group tours and your safety
* We will prepare one mask per person per tour day.
* Before you get on the bus, everyone has to sanitize their hands with sanitizer that will be provided by us.
* There will be a maximum of 20 people on a bus that fits 45, so there will be 2 seats for each person.
* We will provide everyone with one special health drink per day to keep everyone’s immune system up
* We will provide everyone with one fresh bottle of mineral water per day

Itinerary
Day 1: Airport (Narita or Haneda) – Tokyo
Welcome to Tokyo! You will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant at the airport and you will get a transfer from the airport to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day and evening to spend freely in Tokyo.

Day 2: Tokyo City Tour
Departure at 9 am.
Today, a cosplayer girl will get on the bus with you to spice up the sightseeing! You will enjoy a comfortable drive through the Tokyo Metropolitan area. It will be a cozy trip while you listen to the explanation of the scenery from the bus window by the guide. We drive by the Imperial Palace, the primary residence of the Emperor of Japan, and we will pass the National Diet Building, where our government has resided since 1936. Then we will visit the Shitamachi Museum which interactively shows visitors what the life of the common people downtown was like in the Edo Period.
Our next stop is traditional neighborhood Asakusa. The Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa is the capital’s oldest temple. At the bustling shopping street, Nakamise-dori, there are numerous snack vendors serving up crunchy rice crackers and deep-fried bean-paste buns.
Of course we’ll also visit the Shibuya Crossing, which is famous for being one of the world’s busiest crossings.

Day 3: Tokyo City Tour
Departure at 8 am.
We start the day with a visit to the 333-meter-high Tokyo Tower. From the Main Deck that is located at 150 meters, you can get a sense of Tokyo’s cityscape in all directions. If the sky is clear, Mt Fuji can be seen in the distance.
Then we drive to the Akihabara area to enjoy Japanese pop culture, the electronic district, and the world of anime (Japanese cartoons). It is well worth visiting for its buzzing atmosphere and quirky shopping malls.
After returning to the hotel, you’re free to spend today’s afternoon at your leisure.

Day 4: Tokyo – Mt Fuji (Lake Kawaguchiko) – Hamamatsu
Departure at 8 am.
Today we visit the Mt Fuji area. Japan’s highest mountain Mt Fuji stands at 3776m and is considered to be the symbol of Japanese beauty. We will stop at Lake Kawaguchi, one of the best spots for viewing of the majestic Mt Fuji.
We then proceed to Oshino-hakkai. The eight ponds here hold crystal clear water that has been filtered by the hardened lava of Mt Fuji for many years.
Today’s lunch are local Houtou noodles, thick, flat, and delicious Yamanashi noodles cooked in a miso-based soup with lots of vegetables and mushrooms.
On the way back to the hotel we stop by Greenpia Makinohara in Shizuoka Prefecture, which is surrounded by tea plantations. You can see the process of the manufacturing of the tea here. Please try a very fresh cup of local green tea (sen-cha).

Day 5: Hamamatsu – Kyoto
Departure at 8 am.
Today we proceed to Kyoto. Our first visit is to the Kinkakuji Temple, which is also known as the Golden Pavilion. When you get there you will understand why this impressive pavilion is a definite must-see in Japan.
Next on our program is a visit to the Nishijin Textile Center. You can enjoy the gorgeous beauty of traditional Nishijin through the wonderful Kimono show.
In the evening we will pass through the famous Gion district. This is one of the most exclusive and well-known geisha districts in all of Japan. We will spend the night in Kyoto.

Day 6: Kyoto – Nara – Osaka
Departure at 8 am.
Before leaving Kyoto, we will visit the unmissable Arashiyama bamboo grove. Passing through this extensive bamboo grove is like entering another world.
We will also pay a visit to the Sanjusangendo. This temple is famous for its 1001 golden statues of Buddha. The scenery is reminiscent of a “Buddha forest” and breathtakingly beautiful.
We will then head to another ancient capital of Japan, Nara, where you will be greeted by cute deer bowing to you in Nara Park. The famous Todaiji Temple stands within Nara Park. This temple houses a massive sitting bronze Buddha statue inside the building, and its main hall is one of the largest wooden buildings in the world, even now.
By the end of the afternoon, we head to Osaka, the final destination on our itinerary. The Dotonbori area is a popular entertainment and nightlife district characterized by big illuminated signboards and a lot of unique street food.

Day 7: Osaka – Kansai Airport
